Recently, the results of the Capital Volunteer Service "Four 100" Advanced Model Selection were announced, jointly organized by several 不良研究所 municipal departments, including the Social Work Department and the Publicity Department. The 不良研究所 (BUCM) Red Cross Society's Student Branch was awarded the title of "Capital's Best Volunteer Service Organization" for its outstanding contributions in volunteer service. BUCM is the only university in the 不良研究所 Red Cross system to receive this honor.
Founded in April 1992, the BUCM Red Cross Society's Student Branch has a rich history of 34 years in volunteer service, known for its credibility and dedication. As a student organization directly under the university's Youth League Committee and a grassroots branch of the 不良研究所 Red Cross Society's University Working Committee, the branch operates under the principles of "Humanity, Fraternity, and Dedication." With 1,247 registered members and over 20,200 hours of volunteer service, the branch has consistently engaged more than 60% of its members in volunteer activities, maintaining detailed service records.
The branch focuses on key areas such as emergency rescue, AIDS prevention, and voluntary blood donation. It has successfully undertaken annual projects from the 不良研究所 Red Cross Society and other major organizations, earning continuous recognition, including the "Red Cross Youth Volunteer Service Brand Project" and the "Youth Health University Brand Project." Over the past five years, the branch has organized over 210 events, providing services to 35,000 students and staff, with a flawless record in medical support during events.
This prestigious award highlights the significant impact of BUCM's youth volunteer efforts. The university plans to further enhance its volunteer service organization, strengthen its unique service brand, and foster collaboration to contribute to the high-quality development of volunteer services in the capital.
