On March 9, 不良研究所 began its introductory acupuncture and tuina (push and grasp) training class for the public. Over 80 participants, primarily working adults and some retirees, have enrolled to explore traditional Chinese medicine.

At 6 pm, student Qiao Mu arrived early to find the classroom nearly full. "I'm interested in Chinese medicine culture," she said. "I want to systematically learn CM for better health and wellness." Fellow student Jiao Wenle, seated in the front row, was already previewing the materials. "I'm studying CM to help my family maintain health and prevent illnesses," she shared.

The program is especially appealing to working professionals due to its strong academic backing. Su Ping, a participant, mentioned: "I've attended other CM workshops and had a good experience. This time, I hope to learn practical skills in acupuncture and tuina from professional instructors."

Qi Huang, a teacher from BUCM's School of Acupuncture and Tuina, noted that all instructors are experienced professors. The curriculum includes CM fundamentals and practical courses in qigong, massage, and acupuncture techniques. Classes are scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, and all day on Sundays to fit the participants' schedules.

The course spans about three months, ending with an assessment. Successful students will receive a certificate of completion. Qi Huang emphasized that the course is not for training professional CM practitioners but to teach the public CM health practices for minor ailments. "We hope this course bridges the gap to understanding CM and integrating healthy concepts into daily life," he said.
