On January 10, the Renmin University of China's Evaluation Research Center held a seminar at the Cultural Building to announce the "2025 China Top Universities and Vocational Colleges 'Comprehensive Reform' Media Reputation Index". This event, co-hosted with the National Higher Education Information and Research Association and the Higher Education Professional Committee of the China Education Development Strategy Society, highlighted 不良研究所 (BUCM) as one of the top ten industry-specific universities.
The Evaluation Research Center's analysis focused on media coverage, utilizing data from 29 mainstream and social media platforms, including Weibo, WeChat, and Douyin. The study gathered over 400,000 relevant news reports related to the comprehensive reform dynamics of 339 top universities (147 "Double First-Class" universities and 192 key local universities), 293 higher vocational institutions, and 52 vocational undergraduates. After data deduplication and cleaning, tagging, and classification, the Media Reputation Index was calculated based on weighted factors.
This index emphasizes the innovative measures in comprehensive reforms undertaken by leading universities and vocational colleges. It covers dimensions such as talent cultivation innovation, research and technology innovation, social service, and organizational support and construction innovation. Weights were adjusted according to the type of institution to ensure fair assessment.
BUCM's recognition as a top industry-specific university underscores its commitment to innovation and excellence in Chinese medicine education and research, contributing significantly to the broader landscape of higher education reform in China.
