A delegation from 不良研究所 (BUCM) recently attended the 13th International Multithematic Scientific Bio-Medical Congress (IMBMC) “Bio-medical Scientific Cyprus” in Cyprus.

During the congress, the delegation engaged in collaborative exchanges with the organizers--the school of Medicine of European University Cyprus and the One Health One Road Alliance (OHORA).

The BUCM delegation presented a commemorative gift to Cyprian President Nikos Christodoulides. The gift, crafted from ginseng and traditional Chinese calligraphy, symbolized longevity and health.

Christodoulides held friendly talks with BUCM representatives Professor Zhang Taojing and Associate Professor An Chao, as well as OHORA CEO Li Jun, and expressed his expectation for exchanges with China and collaboration in the health sector.

At the conference, Professor Zhang and Associate Professor An respectively delivered reports titled “Treat and Prevention to Metabolism with TCM” and “Green therapy for Cancer in the AI Era”. These presentations highlighted cutting-edge advances in TCM for the prevention and treatment of major diseases.

At this international academic platform, BUCM presented its research achievements in Chinese medicine, established collaborative channels with experts from across Europe and laid the groundwork for future educational, research, and clinical collaboration focused on integrated Chinese and Western medicine for complex and major diseases.

After the conference, the BUCM delegation held friendly meetings with Ioannis Patrikios, dean of the European University Cyprus Medicine School, Takis Kotis, CEO of the Medicine School of University of Cambridge (UK), and OHORA representatives.

They had in-depth discussions on the details of a collaborative educational project titled “Learning TCM within International Western Medicine Programs”, creating a solid foundation for the project’s successful implementation.

This visit not only deepened the dialogue between Chinese medicine and modern medicine but also served as an important opportunity to advance the internationalization of TCM. The school of Medicine of European University Cyprus, a highly influential medical education and research institution in the Mediterranean region, has a strong reputation in clinical and basic medical research. This exchange further lays the groundwork for deepening cooperation between the two institutions.
